Get Well Roses

This Card is for a friend who had surgery yesterday! I still dont know if she can have flowers yet so I just decided to make a card with roses! I dug out this set from my retired stash and paired it up with the new In-Color DS paper and the Top Note Die. I used watercolor paper in the shape of the top note to stamp on with Basic Brown ink and then watercolored the image using a small brush, water and the following markers: Garden Green, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand. I colored directly on little bits of shadowed parts with the darker markers and then moved the color around with the damp brush. I then went back over the rose petals with the Pink Pirouette marker directly and the same with the Pear marker on the leaves. The Lace ribbon is adhered to Pink Taffeta ribbon so the pink shows through the lace.

Flower Patch

A Happy little flower patch! I used the Every Moment stamp set and stamped the flowers on Shimmery Wt. CS using Stazon Black ink. I water colored the flowers using Daffidil, Peach and Pear refill inks. I cut out the top of the flowers and layered the panel over a strip of designer paper from the Grennhouse Gala DS paper. I used the Eyelet Lace punch along the edge of two strips of paper from the same design paper and layered them under both the top and bottom edges. I adhered these to a Pear Pizzazz Card along with some Pear ribbon and the stamped greeting layered on Daffidil CS.

Fabulous Family Trip!

We had a fabulous time at Disneyland! This picture is of me with my four boys minus my DH (who is taking the picture) and our wonderful family friends! We kept waiting for the kids to break off from us adults and go do their own thing but we couldn't shake them! (which was just fine with me because I loved spending time with them and I also ride every ride!) No Fear here! California Screamin' and Tower of Terror are my favorite rides in Califoria Adventure! I wish I lived closer to Disneyland, I would so get an annual pass! LOL

Textured Every Moment

This new set-Every Moment caught my eye right away in the new catalog! I've been playing around with this set and really like it! The card base and circle are Shimmery White CS, the two layers are Soft Suede and Peach Parfait CS which I used with the Polka Dots and Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders. I watercolored the images with Soft Suede, More Mustard, Peach Parfait, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and River Rock inks & Markers. Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon and Neutrals Brads complete the card!

Different Approach

This card has quite a different layout which I achieved by just piecing it together after I had the parts done. I decided to pick four colors to use together first and I wanted to use a circle in the layout but that was it. The colors I wanted to combine in this layout were Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso. My new favorite green is Pear Pizzazz...what a cheery, wonderful green!
I used the Scallop Border Punch on the two strips of Blushing Bride CS. I used the Polka Dots Embossing folder for the Riding Hood Red CS strips. The new tiny pearls are so perfect! I also used the Greenhouse Gala DS paper behind the circle and the saying! Card base, Circle and Saying are on Shimmery White CS!
I like to take a different approach occasionaly and sometimes it looks good and sometimes not! This wasn't too bad! LOL!
