Pastels & Texture

This card was an experiment using the new Flower Garden Embossing Folder and the Doily Triple Layer Punch. Lots of textured layers that are sponged with the reverse side of the embossed image colored with markers. I cut a slit on both sides of the flowers to allow the ribbon to slide behind them. I love to pair together White and Vanilla cardstock, just something different!

I'm not really sure I like this card all that much but thought it was at least worthy of posting LOL!
~Stamps: Four Frames.

~Inks: Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, Celery, Crumb Cake.

Easter Little Girl

I wanted to use this little girl from Greeting Card Kids set and the Build-a-Bear Designer Paper to make an Easter card! I love this paper that has all the basic colors with small plaids, stripes and small designs which are great for cards as well as Build-a-Bear clothing dies!
I layered the Greeting over the Doily Triple Layer Punch (New-Summer Mini)
So to show off this paper, I just layered a few different designs using the Marina Mist paper as the repeat color. I cut out the Shimmery White CS circle using the 3" circle die which fits beautifully with the #2 Scallop Circle die! No more wasted CS cutting circles for this scallop die! I stamped the little girl on the small flower paper and cut out just the dress which I thought looked perfect with the matching paper!
~Stamps: Greeting Card Kids, Teeny Tiny Wishes.
~Ink: Stazon Black, Markers; Blush Blossom, Blushing Bride, Bashful Blue, Real Red, Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Pink Pirouette.
~Paper: Shimmery White CS, Build-a-Bear DS paper.
~Accessories: Big Shot, Scallop Circle #2 Die, 3" Circle Die, Lace Trim, Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Boho Blossoms Punch, Two-step Bird Punch, Doily Triple Layer Punch.

Father's Day Ship

Today's card uses The Open Sea, Nautical DS paper, 3-1/2" circle die and Circle Cutter and Mat.
Images stamped using Stazon Black ink on Shimmery white CS circle and then watercolored using the Aqua Painter and Watercolor Crayons. I used Pacific Point for the water but the DS paper is mainly Navy so I added Pacific Point CS Mats to all three images along with Navy to tie it all together. I added the Cherry Baker's Twine around the Navy Ribbon across the card and then to both ends of the greeting to add some details!
~Accessories: 1-1/4" Circle punch, 1-3/8" Circle punch, Pacific Point, Cherry and Mustard Markers on the Compass, Navy 1/4" Ribbon, Cherry/white Baker's Twine, Big Shot, 3-1/2" Circle die, greeting from Something to Celebrate (L-2 Occasions Mini).

Nautical Birthday

Another card using The Open Sea set and Nautical Expedition DS paper from the Summer Mini Catalog!
I stamped the White background square behind the main image with Early Espresso ink, stamping off first so that it isn't as dark and then layered the World over it with Dimensionals to make it pop! The Birthday saying is from Something to Celebrate (L-2 Occasions mini) Love that word set too!
~Stamps: Something to Celebrate, The Open Sea.
~Paper: Not Quite Navy CS, Whisper White CS, Nautical Expedition DS paper.
~Inks: Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy, Espresso.
~Accessories: Cherry/White Baker's Twine, Postage Stamp Punch, Navy Brads, Sponge, Dimensionals.

Father's Day Nautical

I love this new paper and matching set from the Summer Mini Catalog which begins May 1st.
The paper is called Nautical Expedition and the set- The Open Sea!
I guess I didn't look real close at the colors because I used Riding Hood Red and it says Cherry Cobbler as one of the colors in the paper....Oh well! So for this card I wanted an aged look with a few torn edges and some sponging with River Rock ink to give it a yellowed look, especially over the stamped ships manifest part. The main stamping was done with Early Espresso and Not Quite Navy inks, with some layering using the Nautical Paper! I love the Cherry Cobbler/White Baker's Twine that is strung across under the Father's Day between two Navy brads. I also used the Postage Stamp Punch layered behind the compass also out of the new Summer Mini Catalog!
~Stamps: The Open Sea, Something to Celebrate (L-2 Occasions mini)
~Paper: Whisper White CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Nautical Expedition DS paper.
~Inks: Espresso, Not Quite Navy, River Rock.
~Accessories: Cherry Baker's Twine, Navy Brads, 1/16" Circle Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Sponge, Dimensionals.

Birthday Cricket

The background for this card again uses the Texture plate and Pretty In Pink and Regal Rose Classic ink pads-direct to texture plate and then misted with water to create the background on a Whisper White CS panel. A sweet simple card with a few embellishments! The grass was drawn with Old Olive marker along with the flower stem after I stamped the Cricket in Regal Rose and Black.
~Stamps: Bugs and Kisses, Eastern Blooms, All Holidays.
~Paper: Black CS, Whisper White CS.
~Inks: Basic Black, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive pads and markers.
~Spray Mister with water, Eyelet Lace punch, Pink Striped Ribbon, Itty Bitty Shapes Flower punch, White gel pen, Texture Plates Kit #4.

Inked Texture Plate Class Card

This month's class card uses the Texture Plate inked background! For this background I used the paisley Texture Plate and rubbed Regal Rose and Rose Red Classic ink pads on the texture plate then sprayed it with water and placed my White CS panel on the inked plate. I also wanted to use these two sets which have been sitting for awhile sadly neglected! I liked this card, if only that Black striped ribbon was white and black instead of vanilla...oh well!
~Stamps: Pick a Petal, Bugs and Kisses, Four Frames.
~Paper: Rose Red CS base card, Black CS, Whisper White CS.
~Inks: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Basic Black.
~Accessories: Celery Satin Ribbon, Black Striped Ribbon, Subtles Brads, Decorative Label Punch.

Texture Plate Birdhouse

Flowers and Spring! Oh and cool backgrounds too!
This background was made with a texture plate by inking the texture plate direct to paper using coordinating colors of Classic Pads and then spraying the inked plate with water. Carefully set your cardstock panel  down over the inked surface and rub gently over the top and lift. I love this look and had to try a bunch of these with different colors too!
For the flower I used punched crepe paper streamers -the tutorial for this is found on Selma Stevenson's blog here
The colors I used for this background are Blushing Bride and Regal Rose.
Stamp sets: Aviary, Very Vintage Wheel
Flowers were punched using the 1-3/4 Scallop Punch!

Easter Bunny

A sweet Spring card with a brayered background and emboss resist bunny!
The sky was brayered using Bashful Blue Classic ink on a Whisper White Panel. The Bunny and Tree were stamped using Espresso marker, Blushing Bride marker and Old Olive marker for the tree leaves. I then used the Versa Marker over just the bunny stamped image and heat embossed the bunny with clear powder. The ground horizon line was masked and sponged with Crumb Cake ink. For the grass I used the brayer and Pear Pizzazz Classic ink and the went back and sponged under the bunny and tree with Old Olive ink. I used Old Olive and Peach Parfait markers to draw the grass and tiny flowers.
This card is smaller, measuring 3-1/4" x 4-1/4"
~Forest Friends Stamp Set, Teeny Tiny Wishes.
~Card base: Bashful Blue CS, Whisper White CS panel and mat.
~ Accessories: Organza Ribbon, Peach CS flowers made with Itty Bitty Shapes Punches and White Gel Pen.

Cottage Garden Stamped Scene

This is my last impression of a 'book' cover stamped scene! I really like these cards and the fact that they are different! I like doing different things and changing things up a bit!
I used the wheelbarrow from Countryside stamp set along with Lovely as a Tree and Pocket Silhouette stamps for the foliage. The sky was brayered with Bashful Blue ink and the bottoms and sides sponged after I stamped all the foliage. I added a few details with Suede, Crumb Cake and Old Olive markers along the grass lines and dirt. The White Gel Pen adds highlights as well! The little bit of color was stamped with Tangerine Tango!

~Stamps: Define Your Life, Pocket Silhouettes, Lovely s a Tree, Countryside
~Paper: Whisper White CS, Bashful Blue CS, Marina Mist base card.
~Inks: Bashful Blue, Versa Mark, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Suede, Espresso, River Rock, Tangerine Tango. Markers: Suede, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Sahara, River Rock.
