Masking Technique
Charming Stamp set from the Holiday min catalogi. Just playing with the new in-colors and this set. Love, love this set, it's just so dainty! I use Post-it notes to mask off the parts I don't want color on. I use sponge wedges to add colors to various parts of my card and then to finish it off either the Color Spritzer tool or the Itty bitty backgrounds speckle stamp!

Aged Baby Dress
The images are stamped with stazon ink and then colored on Vanilla C/S. I then sprayed the images with a walnut ink mixture. You can create a similar look with a mister bottle filled with water and drops of re-inker. I used more mustard, chocolate chip and really rust re-inkers. You can also age your ribbons by spraying with the re-inker mixture as well and then let them air dry.

Aged Baby Card
I Sponged more mustard & creamy caramel ink onto lace background paper, playing with the colors to give it an aged look. The Dress and saying was embossed on vellum so that the lace could be seen through.

Water color Crayon Ocean
This was so easy to make, I ended up making a bunch and I have one left! This card size fits in the small open end envelope. I started with shimmery C/S and stamped the birds then I used the aqua painter direct to watercolor crayons and filled in the sand, darker under each bird with Blush and Mustard and Apricot. I then filled in the ocean direct to crayon using several blues but mainly Not Quite Navy . I used Bordering Blue and a little Bashful Blue for the sky using a very light hand with a touch of plum. I colored the birds using some Gray and Sahara and then stamped the saying. The waves were easy peasy using the white gel pen to scribble in the braking tops and froth on the sand. The shells were stamped and watercolored and cut out to add with the clip. The layers are blue and mustard vellum on Sahara Sand background card. Try it!
