Spring in Pastels

Today's card uses the same layout as my Cheerful Friends card! Just adding a few details seemed to make a big difference on this card too! I stamped the Confetti Cream panel using the lovely flowers and vines stamps from Vintage Vogue set, inking them with Regal Rose and Pear Pizzazz markers. The Elizabeth frame stamp was stamped at the top with Pear Pizzazz ink and the words stamped with Soft Suede ink. The center of the panel is a Pear Seam Binding ruffle, Pretty in Pink Scallop border with Vanilla 1/8" Taffeta ribbon which creates a top and bottom half to the card!

Paper Piercing along the top half as well as on the scallops added so much detail. Added are Basic Pearls on the flowers and small butterfly. The Paper Flower over the top of the stamped flower at the top was colored with Regal Rose ink and Aqua Painter. I also stamped a small flower on a scrap piece of Pink Pirouette CS and punched that out with the tiny flower punch and then glued a clear button over the top!

Spring Flowers Faux Tile

I decided to use this stamp for a Faux Tile card. I stamped the flowers in Stazon Black and then masked them off and stamped the Teahouse background stamp over the top in Crumb Cake ink. The flowers were watercolored with More Mustard, Pear, Garden Green, Olive, Regal Rose and Pink Pirouette markers.
I trimmed the panel on all four sides to the edge of the image and then cut the panel into squares. There is one row of tiles that are a little smaller then the other two rows but you can't really tell! Ha!

I framed the tiles with Confetti Cream CS and added that to Springtime Vintage DS paper. After the Crystal Effects dried on the tiles I added Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon and a row of Basic Pearls to the center!

Paper Ruffles

I actually CASED this layout from a catalog and added just a couple of changes! I loved the idea of a paper ruffle so I used a piece of Botanical Gazette DS paper for the ruffle. Really a simple card, I punched 1/4" holes above each scallop and sponged the edges of the Pear Pizzazz DS paper with Pear ink. Added a distressed edge to the main image instead of framing it.

~Stamps: Fifth Ave. Floral, Teeny Tiny Wishes.
~Paper: Crumb Cake base card and scallop layer, Pear Pizzazz DS paper background, Confetti Cream CS, Botanical Gazette DS paper, Pink Pirouette CS
~Ink: Basic Black, More Mustard marker.
~Accessories: Pink Satin Ribbon, Scallop Border Punch, Basic Pearls, Aqua Painter, Crayons, Vintage Brads, Modern Label Punch, Distressing tool.

I thought this card was simple and sweet!

~Paper: Daffodil CS, White CS, Pear Pizzazz CS, Greenhouse Gala DS paper.

Life's Moments in Blue

Elements of Style flowers water colored using the new colors of water color crayons! I finally got my new crayons and was so excited to use them! I ended up using Baja, Marina, Wasabi, Garden Green and More Mustard for the watercoloring. The backgrounds were stamped using both Artistic Etchings and Friends 24-7 stamp sets on Bashful Blue CS and Confetti Cream CS with Soft Suede and Bashful Blue inks.

I really would have liked to use Soft Sky for this card, it really needs a soft light blue and Soft Sky would be perfect! Oh well Bashful Blue is the current light blue so I just went with it!
I actually cut a 1/4" strip off the side of the base card to make room for the scallop edge. The base card is Bashful Blue CS, the layers are Confetti Cream and Bashful Blue with all layers sponged with Soft Suede ink!
Flowers stamped with Basic Black and cut out. Words inked and stamped with Soft Suede ink. Antique Brad finishes off the look!

This was my take on this adorable box and I missed the hop so I decided to go ahead and post my box now! The box pattern is printed on Shimmery White CS and stamped with Baby Blossoms stamp set. The label stamped on shimmery CS with an added Vanilla CS rolled flower and Basic Pearls! The ink colors are Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait. Very Soft and delicate looking!
