Nature Framed

I am still using the Botanical Gazette DSP because I like it so much and wish some of the papers would transfer to the new catalog but in the mean time I will still use them! The frame was embossed with the Framed Tulips folder using Vanilla CS and the frame was sponged with Crumb Cake ink first. The two pieces of layered DSP paper were sponged on the edges and stamped using the Nature Walk set and colored with markers. This is actually a really simple card but I always like the collage element look to these cards using this set and matching paper!
~Stamps: Nature Walk.
~Paper: Whisper White CS, Vanilla CS, Botanical Gazette DSP.
~Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Markers; Pear, Old Olive, Razzleberry, Crumb Cake, More Mustard, River Rock, Suede, Baja.

Baja Shabby Elements

Happy Friday Everyone! This is a busy bee card but I still liked it. For the shabby frame, I inked up the top of the inside of the embossing folder with Espresso ink before running it through the Big Shot with Baja Breeze CS to give it that nice shabby look! For the ribbon assembly, I applied the Baja Breeze Seam Binding as a ruffle and then rolled the Crumb Cake Seam Binding and adhered it next to the ruffle. Both sides of the the frame are layered with Gazette DSP with a few stamped images added!
~Stamps: Nature Walk, Oval All.
~Paper: Confetti Cream base card, Baja Breeze CS, Botanical Gazette DSP.
~Ink: Early Espresso pad, Markers; Baja, Old Olive, More Mustard, Bashful Blue.
~Accessories: Scallop Oval Punch, Oval Punch, Big Shot, Framed Tulips Folder, Espresso Baker's Twine, Baja Seam Binding, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Antique Brads, Aqua Painter.

Flower Silhouettes

This card just kinda came together using the Botanical Gazette DSP and Upsy Daisy Stamp set. I used the two different color papers on the background and then framed the stamped focal point with the same papers on opposite sides which gives it an interesting look I thought!

Bird Tribute

So I have been gardening and working in my backyard which I started doing last week because it's finally sunny and nice here! Well on Friday I came in around 5 to take a shower and I heard the birds out back going crazy through my open bathroom window! I thought maybe something was after them so I walked back out there and around back by the pool pump under the trees and there on the ground was a baby bird dead...fully feathered but covered in pitch on one side. That explained the the bird fenzy going on! My darn pine trees are hard on the wildlife and the pool! WE are slowly removing the pines one by one! 3 gone, 7 to go...yikes!
But the adult birds followed me after I picked up the dead bird to dispose of it, the poor things were wanting their baby! So sad! So this card is a tribute to the little bird I found last Friday in my backyard!

Garden Fence

I've been working in my backyard this week and last week so this card is inspired by all my hard yard work! LOL!
The fence was made by inking up the bark looking texturz plate in kit #4 with Early Espresso ink and then misting it with water and laying Vanilla CS over the ink. After the panel dried, I sponged it with Suede, River Rock and Sahara inks to complete the wood look! I cut the panel into three pieces and clipped off the upper corners to make fence posts!
~Stamps: Four Frames, Punch Potpourri, Nature Walk, Pocket Silhouettes.
~Paper: Black CS base card, Vanilla CS, Shimmery CS, Pear CS.
~Inks: Melon Mambo, Razzleberry, Basic Black, Espresso, Suede, River Rock, Sahara, More Mustard, Bashful Blue markers.
~Kit #4 Texturz Plate, Two-step Bird Punch, Boho Blossom Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Razzleberry Taffeta Ribbon, Sponges.
