Simple Roses

Another Simple two-step stamped card however for this one, I used pink tissue paper as a ruffle at the bottom of the focal point layer. I like it because the tissue paper as a ruffle is so thin and easy to work with plus it lays flat for mailing! Try a tissue ruffle on your next card!
~Paper: Shimmery White CS, Melon Mambo CS. ~Inks: Old Olive, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo.~Accessories: Color Spritzer, Melon and Old Olive Markers, Earth Elements Brads, 1/16" circle punch.

Framed Rosebud

I thought this was a sweet simple card using again the A Rose is a Rose stamp set. The background paper is To The Nines DS paper as well as the frame the stamped rose is on. The base card and stamped image is on Whisper White CS as well as the Scallop Border corners. The colors used for the stamped image are: Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Old Olive. Pink Taffeta ribbon with a small brass charm finishes off this simple card.

Rosebuds

I decided to make some flower cards as it is so cold and dreary here when it should be Spring with flowers blooming! So stamped flowers it is! I love this two-step rose set called A Rose is A Rose! I used just the Real Red pad for these rose buds, stamping off the first step on scratch paper so that the first step is a lighter shade of red. Then I stamped over that with the second stamp inked fully with Real Red. I did the same thing with the leaves using Old Olive and stamping off on scratch paper for the first step. ~Paper: Real Red CS, Shimmery White CS, To the Nines DS paper. ~Assessories: Red Satin Ribbon, Square Scallop punch, 1 1/4" Square punch, Mat Pack & Paper Piercing tool.

It's that time of year!

My colors for this card are Silver, black and white. I love this retired set called Great Grads 08'
I embossed the images on Basic Black CS using Versa Mark ink and silver, white and black embossing powder. The black background has that nice texture from the new square lattice embossing folder! I embossed the circle 'G' and then punched out the middle with the 1 3/8" circle punch and then placed one folded in half at each end and the top of the black panel. I then punched out the remaining embossed circle and framed the black 'G' on the silver panel. I punched out 1/4" circles in black CS and glued them on top of each white brad and then coated the top with Crystal Effects!

I really like the layered look on those 5/8" brads!
Happy Graduation!
My son is graduating from HS on June 3rd. I'm happy for him but also sad as I remember just yesterday he was my baby- the time is going by so fast!

Double Pocket Class Card

I wanted to do a double pocket card for my class this month using the Presto Patterns paper, showing how it could be brayered with any color! I love this Daisy flower die used with the Summer Sun cord brads!

This mono-chromatic card uses Very Vanilla CS and Chocolate Chip ink.
The Eyelet border, stamped medallion and inserts are Whisper White CS.

I pre-scored and cut the base and labeled the stamping areas to make it easier to do in a class setting. The daisies were pre-done as well! ~Stamps: Bella Toile, Curvy Verses, En Francais, Together Forever.

Tropical Island

This is a simple fun card using Glossy CS and sponging Pacific Point ink around my River Rock sponged Island! I inked up the Palm trees with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive Markers and stamped those first, then sponged on the River Rock ink for the Island. The sky is Baja Breeze with a few dabs of Pink Pirouette along the Horizon! The flowers are stamped on Pink Pirouette CS with Tangerine Tango ink and cut out. The card base is Pacific Point CS and the layer behind the Glossy panel is Tangerine Tango CS. The Blue polka dot paper is from the Island Oasis DS paper ( How fitting!) The brads are from the Earth Elements brads! I used the writing tip of the Old Olive marker to draw grass at the base of the trees!

Stamped Gift Certificate

This is a Birthday Gift Certificate I made for Betty!
I have a Demo friend who gave me a stack of SU Gift Certificates w/no envelopes years ago when she quit. That was so nice of her and I make good use of them too! I love decorating these large open-end envelopes which the gift certificate fits in perfectly! Luckly I had stocked up on them with this in mind when they were discontinued. I decorate the outside envelope for whatever occasion it is needed for and then just fill out the Gift Certificate amount and who it's for and from then insert it in the decorated envelope! I used Elements of Style stamp set with Real Red and Old Olive markers for the background. The Red Satin ribbon over the Eyelet Border Punched ruffle out of Naturals Ivory C/S. The Center Greeting is from Watercolor Trio stamp set and the Circle stamped in Real Red is from Together Forever stamp set. These make such wonderful gifts all decorated and whatnot, who wouldn't want one of these!!
