Newsprint Collage #2

I could just sit and make these collage cards all day! For this one I added a little bling....rhinestones and a pearl! I also added a little Cherry Cobbler ink to the crown. I love the negative image sheets in the Newsprint DS paper, that white writing on black is awesome!! Again Black and Vanilla CS, Black Ink and black 1/8" taffeta ribbon! I had some clear stick on rhinestones but I can't wait to get the SU ones!!! I've been waiting for SU to include flat back Rhinestones in their catalog! Ya Hoo!!! I'm so jazzed about those and the pearls!

Newsprint Collage

Another Collage Card using Artistic Etchings and Newsprint Designer paper. I love to start with wonderful paper like this and combine it with a stamped image for my focal point and then build out from that! The strip across the bottom is the large letters, actually an 'R' that got cut off and looks like a bracket. I also love to combine stamping on patterned paper to embellish it a little more here and there when needed. The vanilla label frame has the negative images punched out from the newsprint paper behind it. Such an easy, quick card combining the newsprint and stamping using Basic Black ink, Vanilla CS and Black CS. I cut out the tower, key and crown and attached a half pearl to the crown at the top. Black 1/8" taffeta ribbon

Marker Tapping Garden

Another summery card that I made using the Marker Tapping Technique by Technique Junkies. I liked this simple card, thinking I might use it for one of June's Class Cards but decided to use another technique instead. I feel as though I still haven't given this lovely set-Watercolor Trio it's due! LOL
Does anyone else ever feel like that? I have played so much with Elements of Style and neglected the rest of the Summer Mini sets I think!
The Card Base is Certainly Celery as well as the strip across, embossed with the new Square Lattice folder which is so textured! I find myself using it so often! The background technique is on watercolor paper because I decided after doing the marker tapping and spraying it with water, I like the muted look after it dried. The greeting and flowers are stamped on Shimmery White CS using Celery, Regal Rose and Pumpkin Pie Markers. The Butterfly is stamped using the Baja Breeze Pad. The greeting was stamped using the Regal Rose pad and punched out with the large oval punch and layered on a Scallop Oval punched out of Regal Rose CS. The flowers were stamped off first and then stamped over the greeting. I used the paper piercer around the scallop circle along with the white gel pen. The scallop edge border was punched out of Regal Rose CS and then paper pierced and adhered along the adge of the textured Celery strip. The Pink Satin Ribbon completes the card! I aften like small details like paper piercing and texture which adds so much but still makes the card sendable without too much bulk. Other accessories: Big shot, Scallop circle die #2, Circle Scissor Plus and Glass Mat.

Rose Trio

For this summery card I used the lovely set- A Rose is A Rose!
I sponged the Preto Patterns paper background with More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie inks. The roses are stamped on Shimmery White CS using Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and More Mustard classic ink. The Vintage tag is tied around the stamped layer and the small flower from the same set is punched out using the 1/2" circle punch and attached to the round tag. I used the same colors for the layers and card base-More Mustard and Pumpkin Pie. The ribbon finishes off this card from the Orchard Ribbon Originals!
